Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on 13 December 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for the past 20 years. Swift's stories of romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love has earned her the acclaim of many throughout the 21st century. Swift began showing an enthusiasm for the industry of music as early as age. Her career progressed rapidly through the play of kids to her first public appearance in front of thousands. Swift was eleven years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball game. Following that, she began writing songs and got a guitar. Swift took inspiration from artists from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks in order to write original music that reflected the loneliness she experienced at the age of 13. At the age of 13, Swift's parents sold their farm in Pennsylvania and moved into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time to wooing labels from the country in nearby Nashville.
